June was a great sampler layout, with a fantastic product suite. The Follow Your Art suite is bright and colourful, and full of fun.

We had a full class, a first for the sampler class! Everyone had lots of fun putting their layout together. The image below is made up with three of the four ladies’ sampler pages in frames.

My favourite piece from the whole suite has to be the Follow Your Art Embellishment Kit. The felt shapes with stitching are super cute, and will appeal to any kind of crafter! There is a sheet of die-cut shapes in four colours that coordinate with the designer series paper in the suite. Yet another instance of Stampin’ Up! helping to make projects easier!

The main technique we covered this month was sponging using the sponge brayers. Sponging is an easy way to introduce any colour to your project. Does this scenario sound familiar? You’ve started work on a card or other project. You have a Whisper White card base, a pack of designer series paper, but no coordinating coloured cardstock! I don’t know how many times this has happened to me. What’s a quick and easy solution? Sponge brayers! With a pack of sponge brayers, and Whisper White card stock, you can have cardstock in any colour you have in an ink pad. So convenient!

We stamped and die cut the images from the It Starts With Art bundle, and coloured them using Stampin’ Write Markers. A finishing touch was a strip of Crushed Curry Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon with a knot tied in the middle.
