February’s 8×8 Sampler was designed using the theme ‘butterflies’. I love the look of this sampler page because it is not overly feminine in the colour scheme and shows off the awesome large butterfly die from the Butterfly Beauty die set.

I just love the colour scheme in this sampler design. The base is Garden Green, all panels are matted on the Blueberry Bushel sheet from the Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper and then Mint Macaron. Two of the panels are in contrasting designs from the Designer Series Paper pack Garden Lane.

The project is finished off with butterfly wooden accents, Silver Metallic Thread, Garden Green bakers twine in a bow, and Peaceful Poppies Sequins scattered around the page. I used Wink of Stella on the top layer of the die cut butterflies.

I used a small length of Braided Linen Trim behind the sentiment strip on the bottom panel. This linen trim is brilliant because you can use it as it is, or simply pull the braid apart for added texture.

The Beauty Abounds stamp set and the Butterfly Beauty dies were the focus of this sampler page. This set of dies is incredible value. There are multiples of the smaller butterfly dies, so you won’t need to do as many passes through your die cutting machine. The large butterfly dies layer on top of each other to create amazingly detailed die cut butterflies.
