Heart Felt Pop Up Card.

Heart Felt Pop Up Card.

Hello! Welcome to my first tutorial blog post. I will be offering a Youtube video and corresponding tutorial blog post more often, and am excited to know what you think of them! Please take a moment after reading this to leave a comment, I would appreciate the effort.

I have CASE’d this card design from Amanda at The Craft Spa. I loved how versatile the fun fold card base was. Designer Series Paper (DSP) is certainly the star of this card, and makes it easy to change up to suit any occasion. Once you have chosen three contrasting designs from a DSP pack, you can then decorate the front using coordinating products. One of the many reasons I love Stampin’ Up! products is because they coordinate so easily. This can cut out a lot of time spend when making a card or other project.

To complete this project you will need:

Card base in Real Red

10.5 x 29.8cm. Score at 14.9, 17.9, 22.9, and 25.9cm.

Front panel in Flirty Flamingo

6.5 x 14 cm. Score at 1 and 4cm.

Reverse layer in Whisper White

10 x 14.4cm.

Card base in From My Heart Specialty DSP

9.5 x 10cm

Front panel in From My Heart Specialty DSP

6 x 12cm. Cut on the long side at 9.5cm. Be mindful of
directional patterns here. The 9.5cm piece will be the ‘bottom’.

Box panels in From My Heart Specialty DSP

7 x 10cm. Cut on the short side at 4.5cm. Be mindful of
directional patterns here. The 4.5cm piece will be the ‘bottom’.

Fold on the score lines on the card base. Use your Bone Folder to sharpen the folds. Lay the card base down in the landscape position. Use a strong adhesive such as Multipurpose Liquid Glue to Tear & Tape on the smallest rectangle on the end. Now fold the two small rectangles on the end back, and bring the large rectangle over to adhere. Once adhered the card base should look like the above image.

Adhere DSP layer to the card base and to the box panel.

Now fold on the score lines on the front panel. Use your Bone Folder to sharpen the folds. Still using a strong adhesive, lay some down on the smallest rectangle. Fold down the two small rectangles and use this edge to align with the top edge of the card base.

Fold the box panels up so that everything is the size of a standard card base. Use a pencil to mark where the front panel sits on the box panel. This will be where you will need to put adhesive.

Adhere DSP to the front panel.

Decorate the front panel with a length of Polka Dot Tulle ribbon zig zagged and adhered with Tear & Tape. Use Stampin’ Dimensinonals to adhere the Heart Doily on top of the ribbon. This leaves enough space so as to not squash down the ribbon.

On a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock, stamp the dotted heart image with Flirty Flamingo and the sentiment ‘Love You Lots’ in Real Red ink. Punch this out with the straight edged punch from the Heart Punch Pack and adhered on top of the Heart Doily with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stamp the corner hearts in Flirty Flamingo on the Whisper White piece, and the heart in the center stamped off. The sentiment ‘From My Heart To Yours’ was stamped in Real Red on top of the stamped off heart.

To finish off the card, adhere three Faceted Gems to the front of the card.
