Last month was our annual Creative Crafts Stamp Camp. Once a year team members from all over the North Island gather in Rotorua for a two night stay, crafting camp. We get to see new product demonstrations, to participate in card swaps, to share our own creativity with displays, to make projects using new product designed by four different presenters, and most importantly we get to see each other in person again.

The first make and take project we got to make was this one featuring products from the Dandy Garden Suite. How cool is the yellow and black colour combination?
We stamped the dragonfly onto vellum and punched it out using the Dragonflies punch. This was then layered onto a punched Basic White piece of cardstock also stamped with the dragonfly image.

The second project was designed using the Sand & Sea Suite of products. I just love the colours used in this design. We used the new Blending Brushes to create the focal piece background. The brushes make easy work of sponging colour over a large area in a smooth manner.

Our third make and take project featured the Hydrangea Haven stamp set. This shabby chic design was created by sponging a piece of Whisper White with Rococo Rose, and another with Crumb Cake using the Blending Brushes. We dropped little droplets of water, and also spritzed the Crumb Cake sponged layer with Frost White Shimmer Paint.

The fourth project of our Stamp Camp weekend was this 3×3 inch notecard and coordinating box made using the Simply Succulents Bundle. I really enjoyed colouring the stamped succulent, you really can chose from a wide range of colour combinations for succulents. Have you ever googled them to see what colours are out there in the world? Karen Hadler showed us a pic she found online, and then used for inspiration in her crafting.

Our fifth and final make and take project of the weekend was made using products from the Love You Always Suite. We die cut a piece of Love You Always Foil Sheet to create the focal piece, and then embellished this using some Matte Black Dots, a length of Blushing Bride Metallic Ribbon, stamped and coloured flowers, a bow tied with the Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack, and a length of Basic Black die cut with mini hearts. To add some fun texture to the background we sponged using the Blending Brushes, and then we spritzed using Rococo Rose Blends.
Overall it was a fun weekend away with likeminded people, dedicated to crafting. I mean, what more could you want?! Do you fancy joining me at Stamp Camp in 2022? Join my team as a Stampin’ Up!
