Let’s Get Hopping 42: Returning Favourites.

Hello, welcome back to my blog! I’m very excited to join the Let’s Get Hopping team again this month and I’m excited to share this project with you. You’ve come to me from Nina’s blog here.

This month’s blog hop theme is Returning Favourites. Stampin’ Up! have released the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue and it is full of great new stamp sets and coordinating products. What is very cool is that a number of stamp sets and other products have carried over for another year of crafting potential.

I really enjoyed working with the Timeless Tropical stamp set and coordinating In The Tropics dies in the past year, and I’m looking forward to getting more use out of them.

For this design I looked to the Stampin’ Up Colour Coach for colour inspiration. The combination is So Saffron, Gray Granite, and Poppy Parade. I was hesitant at first – this is not a colour combo I would have chosen for myself! That being said, it is good to challenge ourselves when being creative. I am very happy with the outcome!

I stamped the card base tone-on-tone in So Saffron using the pineapple stamp, and spritzed the cardstock layer with the So Saffron Stampin’ Write Marker. I love spritzing for adding some detail. Next, I die cut the pineapple base in Gray Granite and sponged it using a Sponge Dauber. The top of the pineapple was die cut in Sahara Sand foil from the Love You Always Foil Sheets.

To finish off the card I heat embossed the sentiment in White Emboss Powder, tied a bow using White Bakers Twine and adhered both of these on top of the pineapple. A few Adhesive Backed Sequins in Mango Melody scattered around brought everything together.

Thank you for visiting my blog today. I’d love to hear what you think about this card, please comment below :). Be sure to hop along to see what the rest of the team have been creating. You’ll be visiting Eimear Carvill from Stamp in Colour.

Happy crafting x

Megan
