Let’s Get Hopping 45: CASE The Mini.

Hello, and welcome to my blog. Today I am hopping with the crew from Let’s Get Hopping and the focus for this month is all about CASEing the Mini Catalogue. If you’ve been following along with the hop, you would have come around from Tanya Rees. I hope you found inspiration in the project that Tanya had to share.

Are you like me? I’ve spent a lot of time flicking through the new July-December Mini Catalogue, and each time I do I see something new! I love how Stampin’ Up! fill their catalogues with design and project inspiration. Even if there are products you don’t have at home, it is easy enough to CASE a card layout or colour combination to take into your own crafting. I hear you asking what CASE means? It stands for Copy And Share Everything (or Copy And Selectively Edit). Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators such as myself are more than happy to share ideas and CASEing is a fun way to do that. For todays project I chose to CASE a layout on page 13 of the July-December Mini Catalogue.

I have been eager to get crafting with products from the In The Wild Suite, and when I saw this card to CASE the In The Wild Designer Series Paper came straight to mind. The fun colour combination in the DSP and the funky animal prints are so much fun.

In the Wild Cats stamp set you have the option of stamping a tiger with stripes, or a cheetah with spots, and the set of Big Cats Dies has lots of jungle themed dies. I used the vine die for the top of my card, some of the shrubbery to sit behind the cheetah, and a tuft of grass and two filigree type pieces for the bottom of the card.

For the sentiment I stamped the words in Evening Evergreen onto a thin strip of Soft Succulent cardstock. I then die cut and embossed a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock using the Animal Print Embossing Folder to sit behind the sentiment strip. The Cheetah was stamped in Crushed Curry and the spots were stamped in Cajun Craze. I finished off the card with a length of doubled up Linen Thread tied in a bow, and some Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

I do hope you have enjoyed the card I have made today. Please leave a comment below so that I know you stopped by.

Carry on with the hop and head over to see what Nina King McMillan has instore for you today. I’m excited to hop around myself and be inspired by all of the CASEd projects.

Happy crafting x

Megan
