Water Front Fun.

Water Front Fun.

Hello! Today I have four fun projects to share with you which use the Waterfront stamp set. The four projects have the same stamped mountain landscape scene, with a few added extras to change it up. I found inspiration for the scene and colours from Amy O’Neill of Amy’s Paper Craft.

For this first design I simply stamped directly onto a Whisper White Notecard. You really don’t need to have a large crafting stash to create gorgeous cards. With as little supplies as paper, ink, some ribbon, and a stamp set you too can make a card everyone would love to receive.

To create the scene I used the following colours:

  • Clouds – Seaside Spray
  • Sun – So Saffron
  • Mountains – Soft Suede
  • Trees – Garden Green
  • Fields – Old Olive
  • Water – Balmy Blue, Bermuda Bay, and Night of Navy
  • Sentiment – Night of Navy
  • Ribbon – Braided Linen Trim

For this design I stamped the mountain scene onto a piece of Whisper White, and then adhered that to a Soft Suede card front. To add a bit of texture to the Soft Suede card front, I stamped the dots image in Soft Suede along two of the edges. I also added a longer piece of Braided Linen Trim and tied it around the Whisper White layer.

For this third design I stamped the mountain scene onto a piece of Whisper White and then adhered this to a Soft Suede A5 card base. The Soft Suede card front was stamped with dots as before, and I also added a layer of wood texture from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper pack. I popped up the sentiment using Stampin’ Dimensionals, and added a short length of Braided Linen Trim behind it.

This is a card size that I almost never make, but one that I find is super useful for lots of people to sign and write notes for the recipient. I encourage you to have a go at creating a larger card like this one :).

Finally, I made a decor piece that fits into a 6×6 inch frame, matted for 5×5 inches. The mountain scene is stamped onto Whishper White, which is then adhered to wood texture from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper pack, and then onto a Soft Suede layer.

Spotlight Water Front Card.

Spotlight Water Front Card.

Hello! Welcome back to my blog. Today I have a quick and easy card to show you which highlights the spotlight technique. I have had a lot of fun creating with the Water Front stamp set. It is a versatile set that can be used to create any number of scenes. From a moody mountainside to a light and breezy beach scene, I know you’ll enjoy playing too.

To create this project you will need:

  • Cardbase, Pear Pizzazz – 21cm x 14.9cm
  • Card front, Whisper White – 13.9cm x 9.5cm
  • Extra Whisper White for die cutting
  • Crumb Cake square – 5.7cm x 5.7cm
  • Whisper White card insert – 14.4cm x 10cm

Stamp the dotty image in Pear Pizzazz onto the card front around all four edges. Put the card base aside for now.

Die cut the second largest Stitched Shape Dies in Whisper White.

Place the die cut square on top of the Whisper White card front piece. Be mindful not to jostle this piece while you are stamping.

Stamp the scene over the die cut square and onto the Whisper White card front piece. There will be a little boarder where the stamp doesn’t touch the Whisper White card front piece, this will be covered up by the Crumb Cake layer.

The colours I used are as follows; So Saffron – sun, Terracotta Tile – beach huts, Sahara Sand – sand, Balmy Blue – water, Early Espresso – palm trunks, Pear Pizzazz – palm fronds.

Adhere the Whisper White card front piece to the Pear Pizzazz card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Tear & Tape.

Adhere the die cut Whisper White square to the Crumb Cake layer using Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Tear & Tape. Then adhere this to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stamp the sentiment in Tuxedo Black Momento onto a thin strip of Pear Pizzazz cardstock. Adhere this to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the left-hand side, and Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Tear & Tape in the right-hand side.

Adhere the Whisper White card insert in the center of the card.
